Matthew Shell, a veteran of LucasArts, has reportedly died.

Shell, who labored at LucasArts for over 20 years, suffered a coronary heart assault earlier this week, in line with The Sport Awards’ Geoff Keighley, who introduced Shell’s passing on social media.

“Matt was an unbelievable individual with an enormous coronary heart — type, loyal, onerous working and all the time humorous. He introduced a smile to each assembly,” Keighley mentioned, paying tribute to the developer.

Shell is credited on just about each important launch within the LucasArts catalog for the final 20 years. He’s most not too long ago credited in 2023’s Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, the place he served as the sport’s director of name advertising.

EA international PR lead Ray Almeda joined within the tributes to Shell, writing: “We’ll miss his jokes, love for Sticky Toffee Pudding, BBQ experience, celebrating Warriors championships the night time of, and naturally his profound fandom for his SF Giants. Relaxation in Paradise my good friend and Could the Drive be with you, all the time.”

Normal supervisor of Good Shepard Leisure Lincoln Hershberger wrote: “Matt was such an unbelievable human being. It’s onerous to make sense of this tragic information. He was a beloved good friend and colleague who I’ll miss without end.”
