Activision Blizzard’s long-serving CEO Bobby Kotick seems set to step down at first of subsequent 12 months, following Microsoft’s acquisition of the Name of Responsibility writer.

Virtually two years because the deal was introduced, on Friday Microsoft lastly closed its $68.7 billion merger with Activision Blizzard.

Kotick will report back to Microsoft’s head of gaming, Phil Spencer.

“I’ve lengthy stated that I’m absolutely dedicated to serving to with the transition,” Kotick stated in an electronic mail to Activision Blizzard workers as we speak.

Kotick was CEO of Activision from February 1991 till July 2008, when he grew to become CEO of Activision Blizzard in reference to the merger of Activision and Vivendi Video games.
