The Silent Hill 2 remake has been the topic of a lot debate since its announcement, and a second trailer in January 2024 which centered on fight did nothing to quell it.
This second trailer proved divisive, and at the moment solely has 51% likes vs dislikes on YouTube.
The next month, Bloober Staff president Piotr Babieno mentioned the trailer “doesn’t mirror the spirit of the sport”, saying the advertising facet of issues was Konami‘s accountability.
“It isn’t the spirit of both what it was or what we’re creating now,” Babieno mentioned. “We are attempting to completely mirror this romantic imaginative and prescient concerning the sport, which debuted 22 years in the past.
“We predict that when gamers see the actual gameplay, the actual sport, they may choose it in a totally totally different manner.”
A screenshot of the sport that was just lately added to the backend of the sport’s SteamDB web page seems to point out that Bloober Staff has given its protagonist a makeover to make him look youthful.
