Cellular sport developer Jam Metropolis is shedding 10% of its workforce.

The transfer will affect round 85 members of workers, a consultant for the corporate confirmed to Polygon reporter Nicole Carpenter.

Los Angeles-based Jam Metropolis is the corporate behind cellular video games together with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Thriller, DC Heroes and Villains, Disney Frozen Adventures, Jurassic World Alive, Cookie Jam and Panda Pop.

It has studios and workers situated in LA, Burbank, Cedar Falls, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, and, internationally, in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Montreal, and Toronto.

“After a difficult 2023, trade analysts predicted an upward pattern for gaming in 2024. Whereas we’ve seen reasonable enhancements in some areas, the general upward pattern has not materialized as anticipated,” Jam Metropolis CEO Josh Yguado reportedly mentioned in an e mail to workers.

“Projections point out these circumstances will proceed for a while, with enhancements not anticipated till the second half of 2025.”

Jam beforehand laid off 17% of its workers, or round 200 individuals, in 2022.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Thriller
