Final week, throughout Nintendo’s companion showcase, Sq. Enix lifted the lid on Octopath Traveler 0, a brand new entry within the HD-2D collection the place you may customise and play as your individual character.

This can be a role-playing recreation by which gamers assume the position of a traveler looking for sacred rings. As gamers discover a fantastical world, they assemble companions to interact in turn-based battles in opposition to human, animal, and monster enemies. Graphics are extremely pixelated, with gameplay and cutscenes going down from a distant perspective. Gamers use bladed weapons and elemental assaults to deplete opponents’ well being/hit factors; fight is highlighted by impression sounds and light-weight results. Cutscenes depict further violence involving small, pixelated characters: characters holding knives to their throats; cultists repeatedly stabbing a personality; a person strangling a lady; a villain killing an unarmed civilian.
