The Pokémon Firm has introduced the winners of the Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2024.

The competition noticed hundreds of entrants submitting fan artwork of their favourite Pokémon, with the winner of the competitors set to obtain $5000. The winner can even see their illustration printed as an official Pokémon card.

Winner Kazuki Minami mentioned, “I’m actually honored to obtain this prize. As this was my first time collaborating on this contest, I wasn’t certain what to attract and the way to attract it.

“That’s when my canine got here into my sight being cute—I used to be impressed to attract Pikachu in such a method that jogs my memory of my canine. So the prize belongs to my canine as a lot because it does to me, and we’re each extraordinarily comfortable and honored. Thanks.”

“Feraligatr is generally a really fierce Pokémon, however I needed to depict a second of calm, as if Feraligatr is having fun with a morning swim and watching the solar break via the water.

“To attempt to seize this sense, I took type inspiration from my love of linocut and risograph printing. I’m thrilled to have the ability to be a part of so many different expert artists in contributing to Pokémon,”

Earlier this 12 months, The Pokémon Firm disqualified a number of entrants in its Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest, seemingly as a result of their alleged use of AI.
