Pickmos (which, till just lately, was known as Pickmon) has been unceremoniously faraway from Steam following an intervention from its writer, Networkgo (thanks, PC Gamer).
Developed by PocketGame, Pickmos is a blatant rip-off title, copying character designs from the likes of Palworld (which itself is hardly a paragon of originality), Pokémon, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Creature designs specifically look remarkably just like iconic Pokémon, whereas the protagonist is the spitting picture of Hyperlink from BotW.
So it appears Networkgo has had fairly sufficient of the controversy, confirming the elimination from Steam over on X with the next message:
“Whats up gamers, that is the writer, Networkgo. We’ve heard your suggestions concerning the elimination of our Steam retailer web page and need to clear issues up. Networkgo has formally intervened within the improvement of PocketGame.
“We will probably be supervising the Pickmos crew from a participant’s perspective to make sure the sport retains getting higher. Thanks in your assist.”
Naturally, Networkgo does not outright state that the reasoning behind the elimination is because of the controversy, as a substitute claiming that it is serving to to make sure “the sport retains getting higher”.
