Fortnite’s final new collaboration for this 12 months’s Halloween season is with Predator: Badlands, and it consists of the primary Predator pores and skin that is ever been out there exterior the completely locked Chapter 2 Season 5 battle go. However the principle attraction on this set may very well be the again bling, which is the highest half of Thia, the Weyland-Yutani android, performed by Elle Fanning, who spends a lot of the film strapped to the protagonist’s again. The entire Predator: Badlands set hits the Fortnite store on October 28 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.
It is precisely what followers of Dan Trachtenberg’s movie have hoped for because the collab was first introduced final month. We knew a brand new Yautja (the in-universe identify for the Predator species) pores and skin was on the best way, however it wasn’t till the cosmetics have been granted to content material creators on Wednesday that we knew concerning the Thia again bling. Within the movie, a broken Thia, torn in half on a hostile planet by a legendary alien beast referred to as the Kalisk, groups up with a younger Yautja referred to as Dek to be able to survive the monsters and different, extra insidious threats which might be hanging across the place.
Since Thia spends a lot of the film on Dek’s again, she makes excellent sense to incorporate as a again bling. Nonetheless, she’s an especially uncommon one–it’s solely the second time we have had a human-shaped physique as a again bling, after the same C-3PO one from 2024, and it is the one in every of solely three again blings that use an actual individual’s likeness, after the Lil Tecca plushie and the Tyler the Creator doll.
The Thia again bling is tagged as being reactive, which implies it ought to transfer or make some type of noise in response to stuff you do throughout a match. However it might be bugged proper now, as a result of these cosmetics have already been granted to content material creators, like PIZ0 and VALtheVAL, and it would not appear to do something in movies that these of us have posted thus far.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 and the Fortnitemares occasion each wrap up on Halloween night time, with the brand new One Piece-themed mini-season kicking off on Sunday, November 1.
