Galvanic Video games, the studio behind Wizard With a Gun, is shutting down.
Posting to X, president and founder Patrick Morgan wrote: “With a heavy coronary heart I announce the closure of Galvanic Video games.”
Regardless of claiming that Wizard with a Gun acquired off to a “promising” begin, gross sales of the title weren’t sufficient to maintain the studio.
“I’ll by no means recover from the irony of spending a decade constructing my splendid workforce, just for it to finish after our best 12 months,” Morgan wrote.
“The dedication, creativity, and onerous work of each individual on our workforce have been nothing in need of extraordinary.
“Thanks for the help and reminiscences. We’re grateful for the journey and hope that our paths will cross once more sooner or later.”
Galvanic’s closure is the newest blow in an powerful interval for the online game trade.
Final week, Avalanche Studios Group introduced that ‘important restructuring’ would see 50 workers laid off.
Avalanche will shut its New York and Montreal studios, leaving it with areas in Stockholm and Malmo in Sweden, and Liverpool within the UK.
